Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry don't seem to think so.

I'm just in the middle of watching this and it seems the catholics are a little out of their league here..

They certainly did. Wasn't it awesome when the archbishop remarked that the ten commandments are really nothing special and for example all african religions recognize those basic moral norms, which of course is true. Not the kind of support Anne Widdecombe was expecting, I imagine. Laughing

And speaking of the devil, Widdecombe must have one of the most annoying voices in the history of sound. I mean she actually sounds like a horribly overdone parody of Hyacinth Bucket. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpR-1c771eA&feature=related

Haven't watched the last part so I don't know if someone pointed this out.

So a woman can't represent Jesus (be a priest) according to Ann Widdecombe because Jesus supposedly was a man? If that is the case wouldn't we have to have at least two, say, ministers of justice because a woman can't represent a man and vice versa?

Hitchens and Fry are just wonderful in that debate.
