Burn a Koran Day
I find book-burning to be completely abhorrent. Not only is it censorship in action it also represents the attempted destruction of ideas. Even if we disagree with a religion the best approach is to try and understand it, not to intimidate it's adherents into conversion.
International Read a Koran Day now has a page of facebook. Join up if you're interested in a counter-protest.

Re: Burn a Koran Day
A group in North Carolina did the same thing a year ago but for non-King James translations of the Bible. I don't see any difference between what they're doing and flag burning or even Fred Phelps-style protests--they're a voiceless minority with a childish need for attention. If you protest, you play into their hands. Be aware of this stuff, share the news, but don't give it any more attention than it's due and they'll just get tired and try something else.
