I love me some blasphemy!

As you suggested, I listened to the the Austin Dacey episode as a follow-up to my comment on the episode. I'm still skeptical and feel that you and he are overstating your case. However I'm not sure how to go about backing my case, so I need to stay open. I really enjoyed the Austin Dacey interview, especially when he started talking about the similarities of the discussion going on today and those that were going on during the Protestant reformation. They appealed to the same source as those they were rebelling against for the basis to their moral stand. i.e. the Bible. Quoting Austin Dacey,

“If we abandon the idea of talking about religion and talking about values we won’t be able to avail ourselves to some of the most influential arguments for secularism and toleration in the West.”
